When should I get my brakes inspected?
We all know the huge value of having effective brakes on your car, motorcycle, or trailer but how do we know when we need to get our brakes inspected? There could be any number of reasons to get your brakes checked. We recommend coming in to get your brakes inspected if your steering wheel shudders when you apply your brakes, the brakes squeal when applied, your vehicle steers to one side when braking, you have to press the pedal far to get a response, braking is harder when the brakes are hot, or if a warning light appears on your dashboard.
It is important to get your brakes inspected before something serious happens.
Forbury Service Centre offers the following brake repairs:
- Replacing brake pads
- Rotor machining
- Calliper rebuilds
- Master cylinder repair
- Brake hose replacement
- Brake imbalance repairs
- Brake fluid flush
- Brake drums/shoes/cylinder repairs
How do I know if my clutch needs attention?
Forbury Service Centre recommends getting your clutch looked at when you’re having trouble selecting gears or the gearbox is ‘crunching’ when you’re changing gears, your vehicle shudders when it’s taking off or your engine revs high when going up a hill, or when the clutch pedal does not seem to travel as far as it should.
Bring your vehicle in to us at the Forbury Service Centre for a quick and simple test drive – you may just need an adjustment. Otherwise, we can carry out the following for you:
- Clutch replacement
- Flywheel machining
- Replace gearbox oil
- Clutch slave and master cylinder repairs
- Gearbox and engine mount replacement
